Many things are happening here at the VetsGarage lately including just unloading a large donatation of cabinets and computers. The donation will help organize the garage space by filling a need for the local veterans.

Dwayne Thurman, MSW from the Dept. of Veterans Affairs will bring over a large group of veterans tomorrow, Thursday the 19th so they can work on their adirondack chairs and continue their computer training class.

Thursdays have proven to be a a great place and time to tell stories and enjoy other veterans around the community.

We here at the VetsGarage would like to thank Wayne’s Woodworking for the recent donation of the items listed on the 02-18-15 post. We can assure Wayne and the veterans community we will put all of it to good use! Here is a link to his site which shows his amazing woodworking skills!

We at the Vetsgarage would like to in advance thank WSU’s provisional fraternity Sigma Tau Gamma for volunteering to come this Saturday the 28th of February and help out around the shop!

There is also an upcoming Introductory Computer class, which will be held once a week for eight weeks. Anyone interested can sign up here at the VetsGarage or call us at (509) 919-3176. As soon as the dates are confirmed I will post them here and in the “upcoming events” section.

The next computer class will start on March 5th, and it will run for 8 weeks.

Thursday is here again and the computer class will be starting today and of course the vets are continuing to make their chairs.  Some vets have been coming in outside the Thursday time slot to continue working on their chairs, good work guys!

WSU’s provisional fraternity Sigma Tau Gamma did a great job on Saturday the 28th of Feb. We really appreciate all they accomplished in a relatively short amount of time.  The walls are painted both in the shop and in the office spaces, scrap wood was disposed of and a new wood carrying cart was built.
